M56 Junction 12: Runcorn, Widnes, Frodsham
M56 J12 — Rocksavage Roundabout. Rocksavage Roundabout, Junction 12 of the M56, connects with the A557, and the Rocksavage Expressway, Weston Point Expressway, Clifton Road and Clifton Roundabout are all named at it. Frodsham lies about a mile to the south, while Beechwood, Sutton Weaver and Palacefields are the places beside the junction.
Runcorn Shopping City is about a mile north and The Hillcrest Centre about a mile and a half north. Catalyst Museum is about three miles north-west, and Woodhouses Hill Fort about three miles south-west. Junction 11 is about two and a half miles away; Hapsford Interchange about five.
The M56 does not have a Junction 13; the next junction is Junction 14. Junction 13 was a planned junction to connect the M56 with Stanlow Oil Refinery across the Frodsham marshes. However, the junction plan was abandoned later due to complications involving the River Weaver.
